How to Clean Your RV After a Long Trip
Whether your most recent vacation was a short trip to a nearby campground or a cross-country tour of the entire country, your RV is likely looking a little worse for wear. It’s easy for a camper to accumulate quite a bit of filth both inside and out during a trip, which means it’s important to give your rig a thorough cleaning once you’re safely back home. For tips on how to get your RV looking spic and span once again, check out our article below.
Gather Items
It’s hard to stay organized when your days are jam-packed with fun activities and events. As a result, you may find your camper incredibly cluttered once you arrive back at your home. To help get your items quickly back into their places, we recommend grabbing three bags to efficiently sort your things. One bag will be for trash and perishable items, one for laundry and linens that need to be washed, and finally a bag for items that need to be placed back into the house.
Disinfect Surfaces
Once you’ve got your items sorted, we recommend grabbing some bleach or a disinfectant cleanser and getting to work on your RV’s kitchen and bathroom. Dirty kitchens can attract pests while bathrooms left to sit and swelter will grow mold. The same can also be said of your camper’s various water tanks and you’ll need to thoroughly clean these as well. Once everything has been wiped down leave your model’s doors and windows open for a few hours to help these areas dry out and remove any lingering chemical fumes.
